Science: Reproduction in plants

Youtube playlist.

Budding vs fragmentation:
1. In budding, the parent remains intact and the outgrowth(bud) becomes a new complete entity. Both are functional fully. But in fragmentation, each of the fragments takes time to "mature" and become fully functional.
2. In budding, one bud detaches at a time. In fragmentation, multiple fragments get formed from the parent.

Questions:
1. Why do yeast not reproduce in the "dry" state, i.e. the way they are sold in the market? Shouldn't they be growing and multiplying and increasing the quantity of the "yeast powder"?
2. Can I graft mango scion on apple rootstock?

Spores in fern:

Why should you not eat the clean part of the moldy bread?

Vegetative propagation of roots: Sweet potato time lapse. Sweet potato is a root tuber(has eyes from which new ones sprout).
Sweet potato is a root but potato is a stem.
Vegetative propagation of stems: Potato time lapse - Tubers/bulbs/runners/rhizomes

Ginger - rhizome - horizontal,underground
Potato - tuber - from the eys
Strawberry/grass - runner - horizontal,overground
Onion/garlic - bulb

Ginger time lapse
